CEO, Holganix
In the year 1979, a study was conducted on students attending a Harvard MBA program. The students were asked, “Have you set clear, written goals for your future and made plans to accomplish them?” The results were as follows: 3% of students had written goals and made plans, 13% had goals that weren’t in writing, 84% had no specific goals Ten years later, those students were asked how much they were earning in their careers. The results were amazing! Watch my video above for the full story.
Healthy soil microbes, healthy people

If you are as crazy about soil microbes as we are, then we highly recommend you check out this article from the Atlantic Magazine called Healthy Soil Microbes, Healthy People. It dives into this awesome movement that the Holganix Community has been a part of: incorporating bionutritional or probiotic solutions for turf and plant health. There's more information, research and an over all need for probiotic solutions to turf and plant care than ever before. We are super excited to be part of this great movement within the turf industry. Click the Read More button below to check out the article.

"I tell people I don't grow shoots..." - Ed Michaud, Fox Ridge Golf Course

“... I grow roots,” says Ed Michaud superintendent and part owner of Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine to a reporter in the Press Herald paper. “It’s all about what you don’t see. If you create better soil, you’ll have healthier plants that can fend for themselves against drought and pests.” Michaud utilizes Holganix on his fairways and greens to increase soil health and reduce his dependence on synthetics like nitrogen fertilizers and fungicides.“Our golfers love that we are sustainable and so does the Fox Ridge Team.” Click the Read More button to check out Michaud's full story.

Is golf dying?

Is golf dying? Nationwide, only 25% of golfers are between the ages of 18 and 34 and it has golf course owners and superintendents worried about the future of golf. Yet, one course (or rather chain of courses) boasts 64% of its customers in that age range. TopGolf doesn't call itself a golf course; instead they define their business as golf entertainment centers. Originally, TopGolf served families and serious golfers, however two years ago, the company decided to “court a younger crowd.” How did TopGolf reel in millenials? Click the Read More button below to check out the full story. Then, start thinking creatively about your course and how you can take a bite from the millenial pie.
