Holganix "Roots" For You!

Mirror Mirror on the wall. who has the healthiest turf roots of them all?

When constructing a house, the key is to build a solid foundation to uphold the rest of the structure. For plants, roots act as the foundation to uphold the health and growth of the plant. That means when it comes to turf, roots are the key to its health. Now we want to know - How long and fibrous are your roots?

For the second year, Holganix is running its "Holganix Roots for You!" competition to discover the healthiest lawn care, golf and sports turf roots in America. Winners will be awarded a $500 cash prize, as well as a $500 donation made in their name to their organization (i.e. PLANET, GCSAA and STMA). 


Winners receive

Winners with receive a $500 cash prize which Holganix will match and donate in your name to either the GCSAA, STMA or PLANET. Winners will also be featured in various PR outlets including the Holganix Blog, Email Blasts and other efforts. We will be announcing the winners per category at separate events. Winners do not have to attend in order to be considered. 

  • Lawn care winners will be announced at Bionutritional Summit at GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Kentucky.
  • Sport turf winners will be announced at the STMA's Conference and Exhibition.
  • Golf course winners will be announced at the GCSA's Golf Course Show.


The rules of the game are simple!

  1. Only roots treated with Holganix can participate in the competition.

  2. Pictures must be shared via our Holganix social media outlets (Facebook and Twitter). You can find the Holganix Facebook account at facebook.com/holganix. To follow us on Twitter, look up the url twitter.com/Holganix. If you don’t have a Facebook or Twitter account, email us your picture at info@holganix.com and we’ll post the photograph for you. When sharing pictures, please list your state, the name of your company, and the turf type.

  3. Include a ruler in the photograph that indicates the length of your roots.

  4. When deciding between roots, Holganix will be taking into consideration both the length of roots and the density. Comparison pictures will earn bonus points!

  5. The deadline for entries is October 15, 2015.
