Putting carbon back in the ground — where it can make the greatest impact.

Plants capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. When farmers adopt regenerative practices supported by Holganix Bio 800+, more of that carbon is stored in soil and root systems.

HGX measures and verifies these outcomes, generating environmental assets that companies can purchase to support climate goals. These assets can be used to support sustainability goals, helping organizations address Scope 3 emissions while supporting regenerative agriculture.

Frame 619
18-inch soil cores

Deeper soil sampling than the 6–12” industry standard. Captures more carbon and improves measurement of long-term soil carbon gains.

Designs
Soil sampling + modeled baseline

Every field starts with a verified baseline, ensuring carbon gains are measured against real starting conditions.

Designs (2)
Field-level reporting
Clear, digestible reporting that gives buyers and growers transparency into carbon, water, and soil outcomes.
Designs (1)
Remote sensing + equipment data

Satellite imagery and equipment data confirm regenerative practices are implemented across participating farms.

Third Party Validation

Independent verification and transparent, data-driven results ensure HGX environmental assets meet the highest standards.

HGX FAQs

Have questions about our HGX platform, carbon offsets or where to buy carbon credits? Get answers here or contact your local rep.
When will HGX environmental assets be available?
HGX environmental assets, including carbon credits, are currently available, with additional asset types expanding over time as methodologies and markets evolve.
How do I become an HGX partner?
HGX partners are organizations seeking credible, supply-linked environmental outcomes. To explore partnership opportunities, companies can connect with the Holganix team to discuss alignment, objectives, and participation pathways.
How is HGX different than other carbon programs?
HGX links real, local, on-farm regenerative outcomes to market demand at scale. Rather than standalone projects, it integrates agronomy, methodology, and third-party oversight to deliver supply chain-aligned environmental assets.
Is HGX a carbon offset program?

HGX goes beyond traditional carbon offset programs. While carbon credits are currently available, HGX is designed to support multiple environmental asset types, including soil health and water-related outcomes, as markets evolve.

How are outcomes measured and verified?
HGX methodologies are informed by research from Dr. Bruno Basso’s lab at Michigan State University, and incorporate third-party oversight, including validation processes with Earthood. Outcomes are measured using field data, modeling, and verification protocals aligned with market expectations.
