What is Holganix?
- Holganix is an all natural, food-grade organic soil stimulant.
- Ingredients include: 100% plant-based compost, grass, leaves, crab shells, oyster shells, vegetable waste, humic acid/fulvic acid derived from Leonardite ore - peat extracted, endo and ecto mycorrhizae fungi, corn syrup, nitrogen fixing bacteria, normal flora, protozoa, nematodes (non-parasitic), tea tree oil, brewer’s yeast, molasses, calcium, iron, boron, zinc, copper, molybdenum and magnesium.
What insects will Holganix control?
- Holganix will not “control” any insects. Holganix helps “suppress” insects by altering their feeding habits. Holganix will also increase insects’ predators.
What diseases will Holganix control?
- Again, Holganix will not “control” diseases. Holganix helps “prevent” diseases by raising beneficial bacteria and fungi in the soil. The good bugs fight the bad bugs. Think of it as a probiotic approach rather than an antibiotic approach. Holganix strengthens the environment for the good guys and reduces the quality of the environment for the bad guys. Disease controls are more like an antibiotic and eventually the environment builds up immunity. Natural attrition takes place -- more good guys and less bad guys.
- Also, the chitin in Holganix will thicken the cell walls of plants, which further increases prevention of disease in plants.
