How Does Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown Work?

Bio 800 Breakdown benefits

Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown contains an entire microbiome or community of organisms that is both abundant and diverse. In a single jug of Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown, there are over 800 species of active microbes, microbe food, and nutrient enhancers. In addition, Holganix has spiked Bio 800+ Breakdown with powerful slow-release nitrogen.

To better facilitate the breakdown of crop residue, Holganix has tailored the microbes in this product to have heightened populations of microbes responsible for residue breakdown.

Some of these microbes include, but are not limited, to Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Penicillium polonicum, Gluconacetobacter rhaeticusi, Janthinobacterium lividum, and Pseudomonas veronii.

These microbes break down crop residue to enhance planter performance, saving you time and frustration. Further, less crop residue means the soil warms faster, providing more evenly distributed seed emergence in the spring. These microbes also enhance your soil investment by releasing organic matter, building the soil microbiome, and unlocking nutrients in your crop residue.

How Does Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown Differ From Other Crop Digesters?

Unlike other products, Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown contains a diverse consortium of soil microbes. Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown contains over 800 species of soil microbes, with a special focus on lignin degrading fungi and bacteria.

According to the USDA, “having a healthy biologically active soil is key to the breakdown of residues... fungi specialize in breaking down lignin so high-fungal populations found in long-term no-till soils will be beneficial.” Adding lignin fungi via Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown boosts populations in the soil and hastens crop decomposition.

Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown: Results From the fields

A Farmer from Western Kentucky - “Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown treated is already hollow in the first internode and there are fungi growing in it. The second internode is much further along than the check. Bio 800+ Breakdown treated also just breaks over while the untreated just kinda bends.” This picture was taken on October 16, 2023. Applied Bio 800+ Breakdown at rate of 0.5 gals per acre, post-harvest.

A Farmer from Southeast Iowa – Corn residue after vertical tillage. This picture was taken by the grower on November 10, 2022. Holganix Bio 800+ Breakdown was applied three weeks prior, at a rate of 0.5 gals per acre. The grower noticed amazing degradation. According to the grower, "I saw a noticeable difference on every field. You could touch the stubble and feel it fall apart easier. This will foundationally change the way I farm and reduce tillage, fuel, labor, and tractor wear."

Note: The conditions in Iowa were good - warm and moist.
